Dr. John B. Harris
Dr. Harris continued his quest for expertise by completing a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, Florida and a Microsurgical Fellowship at Royal Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Practicing at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville from 1988 to 2001, Dr. Harris served as Head of Plastic Surgery and as an Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine. Board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Harris has also been appointed as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Internationally renown for his cosmetic and reconstructive surgical technique and expertise, Dr. Harris has instructed other physicians through live and televised surgical procedures in 20 countries throughout Europe, South America and the Far East. He has presented over 60 lectures and authored many clinical papers on a variety of plastic and cosmetic surgery issues. |
John B. Harris received his Bachelor's Degree in 1978 from Vanderbilt University where he was a three-year letterman on the Varsity tennis team. After graduating from Southern Illinois University Medical School, he entered the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine where he completed residency programs in both General and Plastic Surgery.
